These aircraft are part of a larger order that includes six A350-900s and 27 A350-1000s. While these planes will start with short-haul flights, they will later be used for long-haul operations to Europe and beyond.
Expansion to Medium & Long-Haul Routes
- March 2025: Deployment on medium-haul routes, such as Seoul to Taipei.
- Q3 & Q4 2025: Expansion to major European destinations, including Rome, Madrid, and Prague.

While legroom is slightly less than the airline’s Boeing 777s, the overall passenger experience is expected to be superior due to better seat design and modern amenities.
Pilot Training & Maintenance Readiness
Introducing a new aircraft type requires extensive training for pilots and maintenance teams. Korean Air has taken several steps to ensure a smooth transition:

- Selected experienced Airbus pilots for A350 operations.
- Six months of intensive training at the Airbus Asia Training Center in Singapore.
