ATLANTA- Delta Air Lines (DL) has announced significant changes to its international travel schedule for the Northern Summer 2025 season. These changes affect a variety of intercontinental routes, resulting in changes in aircraft assignments, service frequency, and operational dates.

Delta Routes Changes for Summer 2025

Atlanta Hub Changes
Delta has made significant adjustments to its foreign flights from Atlanta in Summer 2025. Starting March 29, 2025, the airline changes aircraft types and frequencies on European, South American, and Middle Eastern flights.
Beginning June 1, 2025, Delta will use A330-900neo instead of A330-300 on DL070/071 flights to Amsterdam.Beginning August 18, 2025, DL072/073 will use A330-300 instead of A350-900. The Athens service will rise to ten weekly flights beginning May 8, 2025, using A330-900neo aircraft.
Barcelona retains daily A330-300 service and will add three weekly A330-900neo flights starting May 7, 2025.
Brussels service will restart with three weekly 767-300ER flights beginning June 10, 2025. Buenos Aires maintains daily A330-900neo flights instead of the anticipated 767-400ER service.
Delta changes aircraft types for several European locations.Dublin will transition to A330-300 on April 14, 2025.
From April to May 2025, Edinburgh will have only five weekly 767-300ER flights.In March-April 2025, Milan Malpensa will operate daily flights with the 767-400ER.Munich will operate A330-200 flights from March to May 2025.
New routes include four weekly A330-200 flights to Naples beginning May 23, 2025. Between May 2 and September 21, 2025, Nice service runs daily 767-400ER flights.
Paris Charles de Gaulle cancels planned frequency increase and maintains 18 weekly flights.
South American routes undergo equipment modifications.Rio de Janeiro now has four weekly 767-300ER flights.
Starting August 1, 2025, Santiago will use a 275-seat A350-900.Beginning July 3, 2025, Sao Paulo will use A350-900 on DL105/268.
Venice has a mixed fleet of 767-300ER and 767-400ER planes.
Zurich will offer daily 767-300ER service starting May 8, 2025, with an upgrade to 767-400ER on July 3, 2025.
Los Angeles Changes
Los Angeles suspends service to Auckland from May to October 2025. Flights to Tahiti are extended until June 7, 2025, with three weekly 767-300ER operations.
Shanghai service resumes on June 1, 2025, with three weekly A350-900 flights.
Minneapolis Changes
Minneapolis changes its route to Amsterdam to include one daily flight with an A350-900 aircraft.
Copenhagen begins three weekly A330-300 flights on May 22, 2025.
Dublin will limit its 767-300ER flights to five per week till May 7, 2025.
From May 22 to September 7, 2025, Reykjavik service will conduct daily 757-200 flights.
Rome service will resume with four weekly A330-300 flights beginning May 23, 2025.
Tokyo Haneda now offers daily A350-900 service.
New York Changes
New York JFK adapts numerous paths. Amsterdam switches one flight to a 767-400ER. Barcelona will add a second daily 767-300ER service beginning April 23, 2025.
Berlin returns on April 15, 2025, with the A330-300 operating daily beginning May 7, 2025. Brussels is down to four weekly 767-300ER flights. Catania begins daily 767-300ER service on May 22, 2025.
JFK continues to modify its course. Copenhagen will have daily flights from May 9, 2025. Geneva moves to the 767-300ER. Lisbon and Madrid upgrade to the A330-900neo.
Milan trades airplanes between flights. Naples enhancements to the A330-200. Nice will add three weekly flights in June 2025. Beginning on May 22, 2025, Rome will fly three daily A330-300 flights.
Other Changes
Beginning March 29, 2025, Boston will operate one daily A330-300 and one A330-900neo flight to Amsterdam. Flights to Athens begin on April 14, 2025, with a daily A330-900neo service.
Boston opens new services to Barcelona and Milan. Barcelona will have three weekly A330-900neo flights beginning May 22, 2025. Milan flights will resume on May 23, 2025, with four weekly A330-900neo services.
Cincinnati will have daily A330-300 flights to Paris beginning May 22, 2025. Detroit changes the Amsterdam route to mixed fleet operations with A330-300, A330-900neo, and A350-900 aircraft.
Detroit begins its new Dublin route on May 7, 2025, with four weekly A330-200 flights. London Heathrow operates the A330-200 on a daily basis. Munich pushes out the seasonal start date to April 14, 2025, using 767-400ER aircraft.
From June 2 to September 1, 2025, Detroit’s Paris route will continue to fly daily A330-900neos with the addition of seasonal second daily A330-300 flights. Rome service begins on May 7, 2025, using A330-900neo aircraft.
Salt Lake City maintains A330-200 service to London and will begin daily A350-900 flights to Seoul on June 12, 2025.
Seattle upgrades Asian routes with A350-900 aircraft. Tampa expands its Amsterdam service to year-round with four weekly A330-300 flights.
