British Airways International Flight Changes
The airline is optimizing its network, with a concentration on North American and Middle Eastern flights, while simultaneously expanding its footprint in major Asian countries.
Notable changes include service cancellations to Abu Dhabi (AUH) and Kuwait City (KWI), as well as increased frequency to destinations like as Washington Dulles (IAD) and Vancouver (YVR).

London Gatwick (LGW) Hub Changes
1. Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi – BKK)
British Airways (BA) has extended its Northern winter seasonal service from London Gatwick (LGW) to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi until April 26, 2025. The route will fly three times a week on a Boeing 777-200ER, giving travelers a convenient way to visit Thailand over this extended period.
2. Cancun (CUN)
Starting March 30, 2025, the number of flights between London Gatwick (LGW) and Cancun will increase from six to seven per week. This daily flight will continue to use the Boeing 777-200ER to meet the increased demand for travel to this Mexican location.
3. New York (JFK)
The daily service between London Gatwick (LGW) and New York JFK, operated by a Boeing 777-200ER, will restart on 28 April 2025, rather than the previously scheduled 30 March 2025. Additionally, from April 28 to October 3, 2025, select flights on this route will use the same aircraft.
4. Vancouver (YVR)
British Airways has changed its Vancouver operations. The daily flight from London Gatwick (LGW) will operate using a Boeing 777-200ER from June 4 until September 15, 2025. At London Heathrow (LHR), services will undergo a number of adjustments:
- The 777-200ER will replace the A350-1000 as of March 30, 2025.
- From April 5, 2025, the frequency of BA087/086 flights will increase to 11 per week.

London Heathrow (LHR) Hub Changes
1. Abu Dhabi (AUH)

British Airways is making changes to its Austin flight schedule from London Heathrow (LHR). Flights BA191/190 will transition from an A350-1000 to a 777-200ER on March 30, 2025, while continuing daily service.
Additionally, additional flights BA187/186 will raise frequency to 13 weekly beginning March 31, 2025, with a 787-8 replacing the previously scheduled 787-10.

The service between London Heathrow (LHR) and Bahrain will be decreased from a daily 777-200ER to three weekly 787-9 flights beginning March 30, 2025. This also replaces the previously utilized 787-8.
4. Boston (BOS)
Flights BA203/202 to Boston will use a combination of 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft on specific days, with the 787-10 no longer scheduled for this service.

- BA295/294 will use 787-8/-10 aircraft to replace the 777-200ER from March 30, 2025.

6. Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW)
Beginning March 30, 2025, the daily service from London Heathrow (LHR) to Dallas/Ft. Worth will be suspended. However, flights are provisionally slated to restart on October 26, 2025, with the previously scheduled A350-1000 replacing the 777-200ER.
7. Delhi (DEL)
British Airways has cancelled its third daily route to Delhi, originally slated for a 787-8, effective April 19, 2025.
8. Dubai (DXB)
The Dubai service from London Heathrow (LHR) will face significant modifications from March 30, 2025.
- Flights BA109/108 will be operated by a combination of 787-9/-10 aircraft, replacing the present 777-300ER fleet.
- Flights BA105/104 will be operated daily by 777-300ER/787-10, for a total of 21 weekly flights between the two cities.
9. Hong Kong (HKG)
British Airways will continue to provide daily service to Hong Kong from London Heathrow (LHR), with an A350-1000 replacing the present 777-200ER on March 30, 2025.
10. Johannesburg (JNB)
The A380 service between London Heathrow (LHR) and Johannesburg will be increased from one to two daily flights beginning June 1, 2025, giving more capacity on this busy route.
11. Kuala Lumpur (KUL)
After a long break, British Airways will resume daily flights to Kuala Lumpur from London Heathrow (LHR) using a 787-9 on April 1, 2025.
12. Kuwait City (KWI)
The daily service between London Heathrow (LHR) and Kuwait City, operated by a mix of 777-200ER and 787-9, will be discontinued on March 30, 2025.
13. Las Vegas (LAS)
From June 16 to September 9, 2025, British Airways will reduce the frequency of its Las Vegas flights from ten to seven per week, using an A350-1000.
14. Miami (MIA)
Effective March 30, 2025, the Miami service from London Heathrow (LHR) will be reduced from two to one daily trip, operated by an A380. However, there are exceptions anticipated on May 4-5, 2025, when the original frequency may be briefly resumed.
15. Mumbai (BOM)
British Airways has devised a detailed timetable for Mumbai, involving multiple aircraft modifications on three essential flights:
- BA139/138: Aircraft transfers include 787-8, 787-9, and service disruptions between March 31 and October 24, 2025.
- BA135/134 plans similar revisions, including a 777-200ER replacement starting October 17, 2025.

17. Nashville (BNA)
Nashville flights will increase to ten per week during the peak season, from August 6 to September 10, 2025, using a 787-9 aircraft.
18. Newark (EWR)
Effective March 30, 2025, the 787-10 will replace the 777-300ER on select flights between London Heathrow (LHR) and Newark.
19. Philadelphia (PHL)
Starting March 30, 2025, the Philadelphia route will be operated by a 787-10, replacing the preceding aircraft.
20. San Francisco (SFO)
Between March 30 and May 31, 2025, British Airways will use an A380 to replace the 777-300ER on flights BA287/286, resulting in two daily A380 flights between London Heathrow (LHR) and San Francisco.
21. Washington Dulles (IAD)
Washington will benefit from an increase in frequency and upgraded aircraft:
- Effective March 30, 2025, flights BA217/216 will switch to a 777-300ER.
- The service will increase to three daily flights with the addition of BA291/290, operated by a 787-8.
