BENGALURU- SpiceJet (SG), an Indian low-cost airline, has scheduled special flights to Prayagraj for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela (2025).
For a limited time, the airline will offer flights to Prayagraj from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai.
SpiceJet Adds Flights to Prayagraj
All flights will operate between January 12th and February 28th, 2025. SpiceJet (SG) plans to operate these flights with its Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
This will be the airline’s maiden flight to Prayagraj (IXD), Uttar Pradesh, for the Maha Kumbh Mela.
The Maha Kumbh Mela is a major pilgrimage and festival that is considered to be one of the world’s greatest religious gatherings. SpiceJet’s new flights to Prayagraj (IXD) are expected to help millions of pilgrims seeking to visit this religious city in Uttar Pradesh.
SpiceJet Ahmedabad (AMD) – Prayagraj (IXD) flights
The daily flight SG 655 will depart Ahmedabad (AMD) at 08:10 AM IST and arrive in Prayagraj (IXD) at 09:55 AM IST. The flight time will be one hour and 45 minutes.
The return flight, SG 658, will depart Prayagraj (IXD) at 04:30 PM IST and arrive in Ahmedabad (AMD) at 06:45 PM IST. The flight will last 2 hours and 15 minutes.
This will be the first nonstop flight from Ahmedabad to Prayagraj (IXD).
SpiceJet Bengaluru (BLR) – Prayagraj (IXD) flights
The daily flight, SG 661, will depart Bengaluru (BLR) at 06:25 AM IST and arrive in Prayagraj (IXD) at 09:15 AM IST. The flying time will be two hours and fifty minutes.
The return flight, SG 664, will depart Prayagraj (IXD) at 02:10 PM IST and arrive at Bengaluru (BLR) at 04:40 PM IST. The flying time will be two hours and thirty minutes.
The airline will have to compete with IndiGo (6E) in the Bengaluru (BLR) – Prayagraj (IXD) sector, where IndiGo (6E) operates four times a week throughout the year.
SpiceJet Delhi (DEL) – Prayagraj (IXD) flights
The daily flight SG 662 will depart Prayagraj (IXD) at 09:55 AM IST and arrive in Delhi (DEL) at 11:20 AM IST. The flight will last 1 hour and 25 minutes.
The return flight, SG 663, will depart Delhi (DEL) at 11:55 AM IST and arrive in Prayagraj (IXD) at 01:30 PM IST. The flight will last 1 hour and 35 minutes.
The airline would face competition from two other airlines in the Delhi (DEL)-Prayagraj (IXD) route. Alliance Air (9i) operates 12 weekly flights, whereas IndiGo (6E) operates one daily trip. IndiGo (6E) will also introduce a special second daily flight in the sector between January 11th and February 28th, 2025.
SpiceJet Mumbai (BOM) – Prayagraj (IXD) flights
The daily flight, SG 656, will depart Prayagraj (IXD) at 10:30 AM IST and arrive in Mumbai (BOM) at 12:50 PM IST. The flying time will be two hours and twenty minutes.
The return flight, SG 657, will depart Mumbai (BOM) at 01:40 PM IST and arrive in Prayagraj (IXD) at 03:50 PM IST. The flying time will be two hours and ten minutes.
Even in the Mumbai (BOM)-Prayagraj (IXD) sector, the airline would face competition from two other carriers. Akasa Air (QP) and IndiGo (6E) both conduct daily flights.
