Beneficiaries can receive their SRD R370 grant through the following methods:

1. Direct Bank Deposits

  • Funds are deposited directly into the beneficiary’s bank account.
  • Deposits occur anytime during the payment period, offering convenience and flexibility.

2. SASSA Pay Points

  • Beneficiaries can collect their grants at designated pay points.
  • To avoid delays, beneficiaries should adhere to scheduled collection dates and arrive early, prepared for potential queues.

Checking Payment Status and Balance

SASSA provides multiple methods for beneficiaries to check their payment status and balance:

1. USSD Codes

  • Dial 120*3210# or 120*69277# from your mobile phone.
  • These codes provide quick access to grant information.

2. WhatsApp

  • Send a message to 082 046 8553 to receive updates on your payment status.

If the status shows “pending”, it indicates that the eligibility evaluation is still in progress or the applicant does not qualify for the grant for that period.

Future Payment Adjustments

  • After December 2024, SASSA plans to revert the SRD payment schedule to its usual timing: 2nd to 4th of each month.
