DOHA- Early 2025 reports from Aeroroutes indicate Flag carrier Qatar Airways (QR) intends to fly Airbus A350 aircraft on several routes.
There are 58 Airbus A350 aircraft in the fleet of Doha-based airline, comprising 34 A350-900s and 23 A350-1000s.
Qatar Airways A350 Routes Update
Doha (DOH) – London Gatwick (LGW)
Qatar Airways will make fleet changes on its Doha (DOH) – London Gatwick (LGW) service in the first quarter of 2025. From February 2 to March 28, 2025, the airline will use Airbus A350-900 aircraft on three of its ten weekly flights, replacing the Boeing 787-8.
The updated Gatwick schedule includes A350-900 operations on flight QR327, which departs Doha at 0805 and arrives in London at 1235 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The remaining Boeing 787-8 services are on schedule, with QR329 departing Doha at 0135. QR330 leaves from Gatwick at various times between 0840 and 0950, while QR328 departs at 1405, using the A350-900 aircraft.
Doha (DOH) – Manila (MNL)
Qatar Airways will transition its Doha-Manila (MNL) route QR928/929 from Boeing 777-300ER to Airbus A350-1000 aircraft beginning March 30, 2025. QR928 departs Doha at 0800 and arrives in Manila at 2220, while QR929 returns from Manila at 2350 and arrives in Doha at 0415 the next day.
The airline continues to operate Boeing 777-300ERs on its increased Manila frequency, including QR932 from Doha at 0210, QR934 at 1805, and return services QR935 and QR933, which depart Manila at 0955 and 1835, respectively.
Doha (DOH) – Hong Kong (HKG)
Qatar Airways will begin fleet changes on its Doha (DOH)-Hong Kong (HKG) service in January 2025. From January 1 to March 29, 2025, the airline will operate one of its two daily QR816/815 frequencies with Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
QR816 operates the A350-900 service, departing Doha at 0905 and landing in Hong Kong at 2130. The return flight, QR815, departs Hong Kong at 0025 and arrives in Doha at 0450. The second daily frequency operates Boeing 777-300ERs, with QR818 departing Doha at 0235 and QR817 departing Hong Kong at 1805.
Doha – Geneva (GVA) route
The oneWorld airline has announced service reductions on the Doha-Geneva (GVA) route in May 2025. From May 5 to May 28, 2025, the airline will cut operations from daily to five weekly trips, using Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
The amended Geneva itinerary keeps QR101 departing Doha at 0210 on Mondays and Fridays, with QR102 returning to Geneva at 0925. Flight QR099 departs Doha at 0855 on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, while QR100 departs Geneva at 1555 on the same days.
