CHICAGO- United Airlines (UA) plans to increase flights and capacity on top-performing international routes in the Atlantic and Pacific for Summer 2025.
United, a Star Alliance member, currently offers flights to 146 locations in 73 countries.
United Summer 2025 Flights
United Airlines is planning significant international route enhancements for next summer, with an emphasis on major destinations and frequency improvements:
Route Expansions:
- Washington, DC to Dublin: Introduces a second daily trip using 757-200 aircraft.
- Houston to Medellín: Adds a second daily service with 737 MAX.
- Chicago to Dublin: Upgrades route by replacing 757-200s with more sophisticated 787-8 aircraft.
Seasonal Route Extensions:
- Extends operations for Dubrovnik, Palma de Mallorca, and Naples.
- Maintains service till the end of October, prolonging the previous September cutoff.
New and Adjusted Pacific Routes:
- The new Guam-Taipei service will begin with biweekly flights on April 2. The proposed schedule comprises morning departures from Guam at 0700, arrivals in Taipei at 0925, and return flights at 1030 and 1100 local times.
- Reduces the frequency of flights from Guam to Nagoya from seven to five per week.
Chicago to Dublin Route Composition:
- Aer Lingus: Two A330 flights.
- United Airlines: one Boeing 787-8 trip.
- American Airlines: One Boeing 787-8 trip.

The extension increases competition with Aer Lingus (EI), which offers flights from both Chicago and Washington to Dublin, as well as American Airlines’ (AA) seasonal Chicago-Dublin service.
