In Amsterdam, you will take the simulator assessment and the Advanced COMPASS test. Successful candidates will be invited to Dubai to experience the city, tour EK-provided accommodations, and undergo logbook and medical checks.

Requirements
Emirates Airlines has set extensive certification requirements for A350 and A380 Captain roles. The airline requires 7,000 hours of multi-crew, multi-engine flight time in turboprop or turbojet aircraft operational seats.
A380 command jobs require current Airbus captain rank and at least 3,000 hours of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) experience on Airbus fly-by-wire wide-body aircraft.
A350 command positions require 3,000 hours of captain experience on commercial planes weighing more than 50 tonnes maximum takeoff weight, as well as 1,500 hours on contemporary Airbus fly-by-wire wide-body variants.
Candidates must hold a valid ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License and unrestricted Class 1 medical certification from a single authority. Recent flight experience criteria indicate a minimum of 150 hours on type in the previous 12 months. English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above certification remains required.
Emirates creates pilot schedules using open-ended contracts that include monthly rosters with eight guaranteed days off. Annual flight hours range between 800-900, incorporating round-the-clock operations across varied route structures.

In Dubai, the carrier provides furnished accommodations that include utility coverage. Annual educational funding is AED 52,250 for primary school and AED 79,750 for secondary education per kid, covering up to three children aged 4 to 19.
Annual leave benefits include 42 calendar days of confirmed business class tickets, which are upgradeable to first class for commanders and dependents. The airline arranges airport transportation and provides platinum card benefits for retail and leisure activities.
Emirates’ financial perks include profit-sharing opportunities, life insurance, medical coverage, dental care, and loss-of-license protection. Professional support includes company uniforms, Dubai-based cleaning services, and staff travel discounts across all service classes.
The airline’s provident fund, managed by the Isle of Man trust, has 12% employer contributions and 5% employee contributions. When fund participants leave after six months of registration, they receive their accumulated benefits.
