Embraer delivered 75 aircraft in Q4 2024, with a total of 203 commercial and private planes and three military aircraft, including the C-390 Millennium.
Meeting expectations.
The Brazilian manufacturer supplied 31 commercial aircraft in Q4 2024, including 11 E175s, two E190-E2s, and 18 E195-E2. Embraer stated that this represented a 27% rise quarter on quarter (QoQ).
With 31 deliveries in Q4 2024, Embraer completed 73 commercial aircraft deliveries for the year, nine more than in 2023. The year-end deliveries were higher than the company’s latest projection of 70 to 73 aircraft, but still within the initial 72 to 80 delivery range.
Embraer was obliged to reduce its 2024 delivery estimate due to supply chain concerns, especially with the Pratt & Whitney PW1900G engine, the only engine option for the E2 family’s operators, and other structural components of its aircraft.
The company delivered 26 E175, eight E190-E2, and 39 E195-E2 aircraft this year, up from 25 and 38 the previous year, respectively. In 2024, regional airlines in the United States received 24 of the 26 E175 deliveries, according to data from ch-aviation.
This includes Envoy Air (eight), Horizon Air (three), Republic Airways (six), and SkyWest Airlines (five). Non-US carriers that have added E175s include Nigeria-based Overland Airways and Reliance Commercial Dealers, an Indian charter broker.
Embraer is expected to deliver up to 50 E175s to clients by 2025, according to Ch-aviation. However, 12 of those airframes have not been assigned to an airline.
Nevertheless, the majority of the E175’s backlog lies in the United States, where regional airlines have little choice but to purchase the E175. Embraer’s development of the E175-E2, a larger and more ecologically friendly airplane with modern engines installed on its wings, is unlikely to resume because to unresolved scope clause laws in the US.
E2 deliveries cover a vast territory.
Meanwhile, ch-aviation data reveal that a wide range of operators welcomed E190-E2 and E195-E2s in 2024, with a diversity of introductions into an airline’s flight operations. The website recorded 44 E190-E2 and E195-E2 deliveries in 2024.
LOT Polish Airlines, Scoot, and Royal Jordanian welcomed their first E190-E2 and/or E195-E2 jets this year. The Polish carrier received its first E195-E2 on July 30, 2024, with additional aircraft delivered on September 18, 2024 and October 11, 2024.
LOT Polish Airlines ordered the trio in May 2024, resulting in a relatively quick time between purchase agreement and delivery.
Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines’ low-cost subsidiary Scoot received five E190-E2s during the year, with the first arriving on April 11, 2024.Embraer delivered the remaining four aircraft between April and December 2024. Scoot’s second E190-E2 arrived at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) on April 26, 2024.
In November 2023, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) certified the E190-E2 and E195-E2, allowing Scoot to take receipt of its five E190-E2 aircraft.
Royal Jordanian welcomed one E195-E2 on December 31, 2023, but also received three E190-E2s this year, with the first delivered on May 2, 2024.
Private and military deliveries.
Embraer supplied 75 light private jets and 55 medium jets in 2024, up from 74 in 2023. Private customers added 41 aircraft, including the Praetor 500 and 600, to their fleets.
The Brazilian plane manufacturer delivered three C-390 Millenniums, one more than in 2023. Despite receiving orders for the A-29 Super Tucano as of December 30, 2024, the company did not deliver any of the aircraft.
On October 9, the United States Air Force (USAF) reported that three A-29 Super Tocanos had arrived at Edwards Air Force Base, adding to the fleet of the USAF’s Test Pilot School.
According to the USAF, this was the school’s first newly assigned aircraft in about 30 years. However, the trio was first purchased by the USAF Special Operations Command but were retired when mission requirements changed, according to the release.
Embraer has not issued any delivery guidance for 2025. On February 27, the Brazilian firm will reveal its Q4 2024 and full-year results.
