ATLANTA- Delta Air Lines (DL) plans to deploy advanced Airbus A330neo aircraft on transatlantic and South American routes commencing in summer 2025.

Delta’s strategic fleet update reflects the continuous phase-out of Boeing 767 aircraft from long-haul service.

Ishrion Aviation claimed that the airline will fly the A330neo from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Barcelona (BCN), Lisbon (LIS), and Milan (MXP).

The A330neo flight will connect New York JFK Airport with Lisbon and São Paulo (GRU).

The A330neo, which has improved fuel efficiency and passenger amenities, exemplifies Delta’s dedication to updating its international fleet.

The shift is consistent with Delta’s overall objective of optimizing its route network with newer aircraft.

The airline’s methodical replacement of Boeing 767s with A330neos on long-haul routes represents a substantial shift in fleet composition and operational capability.

New Leisure Routes

Delta Air Lines introduces new Saturday flights connecting major hubs to popular summer destinations in the United States and the Caribbean, in response to rising leisure travel demand for Summer 2025.

Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport will provide nonstop Boeing 737-800 service to Bangor, Maine, and Rapid City, South Dakota, from June 8 to September 7, 2025. These routes improve access to New England’s coastal areas and South Dakota’s Black Hills attractions.

Detroit Metropolitan Airport emerges as the key expansion center, adding four additional destinations. From May 10 to August 2, 2025, the hub will fly Boeing 737-900 to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

Furthermore, Detroit lines include Airbus A319 service to Bozeman, Montana, as well as Boeing 717 links to Florida’s Gulf Coast destinations, Pensacola and Destin-Fort Walton Beach, all of which run from June 8 to September 7, 2025.

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport expands its western United States footprint by launching a new Airbus A319 service to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, from June 8 to September 7, 2025. This route offers direct access to Grand Teton National Park and the neighboring wilderness areas.
