FRANKFURT- Condor Airline (DE) plans to stop operations to Baltimore (BWI) and Minneapolis (MSP) from its Frankfurt hub in the summer of 2025, as all flights for these routes have been withdrawn from the booking system.
According to Ishrion Aviation, the German leisure carrier currently offers three weekly flights to Baltimore (BWI) and Minneapolis (MSP) each.
Condor US Destinations Cuts
Condor’s anticipated layoffs would eliminate its presence in two key US markets where it has built seasonal operations.
Aside from these route suspensions, Condor has reduced its previously scheduled Seattle (SEA) frequency increase. The airline had planned to add four extra weekly flights to its existing daily service, but has already removed the expansion from sale.
The Miami (MIA) route is undergoing scheduling revisions, with frequencies potentially shifting between two and four weekly flights for the summer 2025 season.
According to industry observers, despite its strong Minneapolis hub presence, Delta Air Lines (DL) will most likely not fill the vacancy.
Delta’s recent German market performance, which includes service reductions, along with Condor’s dominance in attracting Europe-originating leisure business, makes such a move unlikely.
Condor now operates an extensive North American network of 17 destinations, including major U.S. cities such as New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), and San Francisco (SFO), as well as Canadian destinations such as Toronto (YYZ) and Vancouver (YVR). Many of these routes run on a daily basis during peak season.
UPDATE:Â Condor has announced the cancellation of flights to six North American cities:
- San Antonio (SAT)
- Phoenix (PHX)
- Baltimore (BWI)
- Minneapolis (MSP)
- Halifax (YHZ)
- Edmonton (YEG)
This change leaves San Antonio without its only transatlantic connection, Ishrion A reported.
Best Leisure Transatlantic Airline
Condor Airlines, which is financed by Attestor Capital, won the “Best Leisure Transatlantic Airline” award at the Business Traveler North America Awards after a two-tier selection process that included expert nominations and reader votes.
Mikko Turtiainen, Condor’s Director of Sales for The Americas, attributes the win to the airline’s overall service excellence, particularly the A330neo Business Class cabins and premium meal options.
The airline received extra recognition as “Design Airline of the Year, Europe, 2024” from TheDesignAir Awards, earning 82.7 points and placing among the top four global airline designs. The study considered uniform aesthetics, cabin interiors, aircraft livery, and brand harmony across digital and physical media.
Condor’s Business Class experience received additional distinction at the TravelPlus Airline Amenity Awards 2024, when its deSter-collaborated pajama design won in the “Business Class: Sleeper Suits / PJs” category.

The airline runs a fleet of around 50 aircraft, which are serviced by its subsidiary Condor Technik GmbH at facilities in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.
Condor’s fleet upgrade includes both long and short haul parts. The airline led Germany’s adoption of the Airbus A330neo in late 2022, and it plans to complete its long-haul fleet renewal by mid-2024.
The short and medium-haul modernization program began in May 2024, with intentions to integrate 43 new A320neo and A321neo family aircraft by 2029.
