DOHA- On December 25, 2024, a Qatar Airways (QR) flight from Hamad International Airport in Doha (DOH) to Paris (CDG) made an emergency landing in Erbil.
Qatar Airways currently provides a daily trip between Doha and Paris utilizing Boeing 777 planes.

According to FlightRadar24, Qatar Airways’ flight took off from Doha at 12:39 PM UTC. After around two hours in the air, the flight declared an emergency.
According to unconfirmed accounts, the cabin crew reported a medical issue with the passenger and chose to divert immediately to a nearby airport.
The flight arrived successfully in Erbil at 2:44 PM UTC. The flight was flown by a Boeing 777-300ER registered as A7-BEX. Furthermore, it lingered on the ground for more than two hours before taking off again at 5:12 PM UTC.
After flying for around seven hours, the plane successfully arrived in Paris at 9:33 PM UTC.
The airline has not yet released a statement and there is no formal confirmation from the airline.
