SEOUL- Air Premia (YP), Korea’s leading hybrid airline, has announced the addition of a sixth Boeing 787 Dreamliner to its fleet, marking its first expansion in 18 months. The airline intends to introduce three more aircraft in 2025.
Air Premia offers scheduled flights to Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo Narita, and Bangkok. It plans to launch routes to Da Nang and Hong Kong in early 2025, followed by Honolulu and Seattle.

Air Premia (YP) plans to launch new routes to the United States, Hong Kong, and Vietnam. They will operate in Seattle, Honolulu, Hong Kong, and Da Nang.
This announcement comes just after Air Premia announced the addition of three more Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners to its fleet.

Seung-shin Park, Head of Public Relations of Air Premia, remarked that fleet expansion is critical to the aviation industry’s success. He stressed that the airline is developing a balanced route portfolio to increase customer convenience and profitability.
Operations and Routes
The new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner has a 344-seat configuration, with 35 luxury economy seats with a 46-inch pitch and 309 economy seats with a 31-inch pitch. As part of the fleet increase, economy class seats will be modified to 33-inch pitches.
The aircraft, which is presently undergoing inspection and interior improvements, will start commercial flights in January 2025, with a concentration on routes to the Americas.
Its fuselage, comprised of more than 50% carbon composite materials, is 20% more fuel efficient than standard passenger aircraft. With a range of over 15,000 kilometers, it is ideal for long-distance routes such as Seoul to New York.
